Job Description

Overview

As part of our Group Transport team, the Procurement Co-ordinator is responsible for the supporting Procurement activity such as, supplier onboarding, assurance and management of our Haulage Supply base. Reporting to the Procurement Manager you will play a crucial role in delivering the Procurement strategy within this category working with key stakeholders and suppliers to deliver value initiatives.

How will you contribute?
  • Working closely with internal operational teams to support with supplier engagement.
  • Active role in Supplier Relationship Management programme, and key point of contact for new and existing suppliers.
  • Support to the teams pre identified procurement projects and value initiatives.
  • Contract administration and compliance reporting.
  • Co-ordinate the maintenance of an Approved Supplier List with administration of key compliance documents, including monitoring and set up of new suppliers.
  • Complete analysis and reporting relating to key procurement objectives or market trends.
  • Active role in management of key suppliers to ensure correct process, supplier performance and risk mitigation.
  • Collaboration with the wider Procurement Team as required.
  • Handle procurement-related queries and liaise with suppliers, channelling feedback to the relevant department or person to resolve and maximise business efficiency.
  • Contribute to the development, maintenance and improvement of supplier management policies, standards, and procedures.
What will you bring?
  • Previous experience of working within a Procurement Function or Transport Office (desirable). Experience in dealing with suppliers is desirable.
  • A self-starter with ability of gaining knowledge quickly.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Competent in data entry with strong analytical skins and knowledge of using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Excellent organisational skills, and attention to detail, with an ability to deal with multiple priorities
