We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Category Manager - Kids & Stationery to lead and grow our Kids & Stationery category, encompassing products such as toys, books, stationery and more. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, with a deep understanding of the children's product market, consumer behaviour, and the ability to drive sales growth, product assortment, and supplier relationships.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Category Manager - Kids & Stationery to lead and grow our Kids & Stationery category, encompassing products such as toys, books, stationery and more. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, with a deep understanding of the children's product market, consumer behaviour, and the ability to drive sales growth, product assortment, and supplier relationships.
(Some of) What you will be doing:
- Category Strategy: Develop and implement the overall category strategy for the Kids segment, ensuring alignment with Snoonu's business objectives.
- Product Assortment: Curate a strong, appealing, and diverse product assortment to meet the demands of our target customers, with a focus on quality, trend relevance, and seasonal offerings.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, brands, and manufacturers to negotiate pricing, promotions, and terms that drive profitability.
- Sales & Performance Analysis: Analyze sales data, customer trends, and market insights to optimize the product mix, pricing strategies, and inventory management for the Kids category.
- Campaigns & Promotions: Plan and execute seasonal promotions, campaigns, and discounts that drive customer acquisition, retention, and growth for the category.
- Inventory Management: Collaborate with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure optimal stock levels, avoiding overstock or stockouts, and meeting customer demand.
- Market Research: Continuously monitor and research market trends, competitor activities, and emerging brands to keep the category competitive and innovative.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, merchandising, operations, and customer service teams to ensure the seamless execution of category-related initiatives.
- Customer Focus: Prioritize customer satisfaction by ensuring that product offerings meet quality standards, customer expectations, and compliance requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in category management, product management, or retail buying, preferably within the kids, stationery, toys, or related sectors.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data, market trends, and customer insights to make data-driven decisions.
- Demonstrated experience in managing supplier relationships, negotiations, and contract management.
- Solid understanding of e-commerce and retail dynamics, with experience in online platforms being highly desirable.
- Excellent project management skills with a strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Passionate about kids' products, trends, and the ability to innovate and adapt to changing customer needs.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
