Massaya is a Distillery & Winery established in the 90's by the Ghosn brothers in partnership with French Brunier & Hebrard families. It launched in 1996 the iconic blue arak bottle, capturing a sizable market share locally and internationally. Today, Massaya operates across three locations in Lebanon: Tanaïl in the Beqaa Valley, Faqra (with a Wine Resort) on Mount Lebanon, and its main offices in Baabda. Massaya is embracing modern practices by integrating AI while enhancing its Sales and Marketing departments.

Job Description

Massaya is seeking a Commercial Manager to join our dynamic team and drive the growth of our premium wine and arak brands across Lebanon. As a key leader in our company, you will play an integral role in expanding our market presence, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and delivering exceptional results through strategic sales and business development in the marketplace.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a commercial business plan that identifies opportunities, sets tasks, and defines commercial goals.
  • Oversee strategy, performance, and key account acquisition.
  • Manage pricing strategy and its implementation.
  • Oversee merchandising and activations.
  • Build relationships with regional on- and off-premise wholesalers across Lebanon.
  • Engage with modern trade and on-trade key accounts, including online platforms, duty-free stores, and UN agencies.
  • Build strong networks with traditional Lebanese restaurants and coastal fish restaurants, where Arak is a staple served with mezze.
  • Develop relationships with hotels, guest houses, gastro pubs, restaurants, caterers and event venues.
  • Provide product education by training restaurant staff, internal teams, and guests.
  • Monitor performance and adapt promotional focus seasonally.
  • Coordinate with social media and advertising agencies.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team as the business develops.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or commercial management, preferably in the wine, spirits, or hospitality industries.
  • Proven experience in building and managing relationships with key accounts, distributors, and hospitality businesses.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge of Lebanese hospitality and food culture, with an existing network in restaurants, hotels, and retail.
  • Fluency in Arabic, English, and French is preferred.
  • Passion for wine and spirits with a deep understanding of Massaya's brand and products.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Lebanon for business development and client meetings.

  • Presence:
    • Office location: Baabda
    • One day per week in Tanaïl, one day per week in Faqra
  • Benefits:
    • Base Salary: $2,000-$3,500, depending on experience and qualifications, plus a sales incentive.
    • Medical Insurance after a certain period.
