A successful and expanding construction/manufacturing business require a Buyer. With the initial focus being on operational tasks, stock control and purchase order management this role is well suited to a Junior Buyer or Purchasing Assistant stepping-up.
The Buyer will join a supportive team of Buyers and Stock Controllers reporting into a Procurement Manager. The role will become more strategic and complex in-time, with the initial focus on being on managing the purchase order process, monitoring stock levels and building relationships with suppliers.
Specific duties of the Buyer include:

Specific duties of the Buyer include:
- Providing administrative support to the Procurement Manager and wider procurement team
- Supplier relationship management - monitor performance, build relationships and spot negotiations
- Supply market intelligence activities and support decisions on supplier selection
- Liaison with 3PL partners and warehouse colleagues in regards to deliveries
- Monitor stock and inventory levels
- Purchasing experience as a; Junior Buyer, Purchasing Assistant, Purchasing Administrator etc
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Commercial acumen
- IT skills
- Seeking progression and development opportunities
