As a Senior Buyer you will be responsible for managing the procurement of direct & Indirect materials, goods, and services for the organization. This role requires optimizing cost, while driving added value through strategic sourcing, value engineering, innovation delivery, process optimization and risk management. The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of experience in procurement within multinational organizations.
Your main duties:
• Procurement: implement, report and control of the procurement activities. Manage the procurement of a portfolio of materials, goods, or services within assigned scope
• Supplier Management: Select, evaluate, and maintain suppliers to ensure quality, delivery times, and prices meet the company's requirements. Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations and risk assessments
• Cost Control: Reduce procurement costs through negotiation and optimization of procurement processes. Ensure the company obtains the best procurement price
• Quality Control: Ensure that purchased materials and equipment meet the company's quality standards. Address quality issues that arise in the procurement process
• Stakeholder Management: Influence key internal stakeholder relationships to drive the delivery of group purchasing objectives. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and suppliers
• Market Research: Continuously gather, analyze, interpret, and act upon market intelligence. Provide independent evaluation opinions and participate in cost analysis and review of procurement contracts
• Compliance: Ensure supply agreements are based upon formal legal terms and conditions. Uphold the Eaton's mission, values, and goals through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPIM is preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a procurement or purchasing role within multinational organizations
Skills:
• Strong knowledge/experience of procurement and vendor management software
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Proficiency with business systems such as database software, order processing systems (e.g., SAP), and Microsoft Office programs
• Strong Knowledge of international shipping terms (INCO Terms) is a must
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems
• Demonstrated success in achieving results in a team-driven environment and independently
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, frequently changing, and evolving environment
