I'm partnered with a market leading construction company that is searching for a senior professional with sub-contract experience to join their purchasing function. With a total employee headcount exceeding 10, 000 and revenues in excess of £3billion, they're a true pioneer within their industry. You will be responsible for managing the selection process of sub-contractors and overseeing the procurement strategy to ensure contractors align with the companies quality, budget and timeline requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct the comprehensive tendering process for sub-contract services, which includes issuing RFP's, evaluating bids, and selecting the most suitable sub-contractors.
- Collaborate with project managers to ascertain project requirements, specifications, and scope
- Engage in contract negotiations and terms with the chosen sub-contractors, focusing on cost efficiency, quality assurance, and adherence to project specifications.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with current sub-contractors while seeking new opportunities by identifying potential suppliers and contractors through thorough market analysis.
- Supervise sub-contractor performance to ensure that deliverables are completed on schedule, within budget
- Ensure that all procurement activities align with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
Experience Required:
- Several years of procurement experience in managing processes for sub-contract services
- Experience managing & negotiating contracts
- Experience in managing multiple sub-contractors and tenders simultaneously
- Bachelors degree
