Position Summary

Responsible for assisting in the day to day purchasing functions for home Business Unit and coordination of all MENA & Caspian (Regional) logistics needs. Ensuring cost effectiveness, timely management of all Purchasing and Logistics requirements, using approved vendors and processes.

Duties And Responsibilities

* Purchasing for onshore & offshore jobs as specified for home Business Unit

* Specify, select and procure equipment and services in accordance with company procedure.

* Liaise with suppliers and create/maintain effective working relationships.

* Liaise with internal customers and service lines.

* All other local purchasing support needs.

* Co-ordinate and assist with control of local 'Ring Fenced' inventory.

* Focal point for all MENA & Caspian (Regional) Shipping requirements.

* Knowledge & understanding of regional import / export regimes.

* Build Regional logistics plan and process ownership.

* Organizing / Coordinating all shipments in line with company requirements.

* Ensuring the integrity of import / export documentation such as Bills of lading, Commercial invoices and AWBs.

* Timely preparation of import/export documentation, authorization to local customs / agents / BU's for all air and sea shipments regionally.

* Verification of all freight invoices

* Maintain import / export tracker & documentation.

* Processing of all PO / CP for freight invoices

* Participate in regular 6S audits when required.

* Support internal and external audits when required

* Deliver against department and service line KPI's

General

The list of the job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake tasks that may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post.

Assist with any other duties as and when required.

Undertake specific projects as instructed by management.

§ Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.

§ Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company.

§ Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.

Qualifications

Preferred

§ CIPS or relevant SCM related course (working to).

§ Full driving license

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL

§ Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Packages

Preferred

§ Working knowledge of People Soft.

§ Previous employment in an ROV/NDT environment.

§ Previous purchasing / logistics background

Experience of building / maintaining processes and procedures
