Job description

Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and executing category strategies for direct procurement
- Identifying and engaging with key suppliers to build strong relationships
- Conducting market analysis to identify trends and opportunities
- Negotiating contracts and agreements to achieve the best commercial terms
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business objectives
- Managing supplier performance and resolving any issues that may arise
- Implementing cost-saving initiatives and ensuring continuous improvement
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry developments and best practices
Job Requirements:
- Experience in procurement, specifically in direct category management
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to conduct comprehensive market analysis
- Proven negotiation skills and commercial acumen
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Understanding of procurement processes and contract management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid working environment
