The Category Manager at LAWAZEM will play a pivotal role in overseeing the development and execution of category strategies to maximize sales and profitability. This position requires a strategic thinker with an analytical mindset, capable of identifying market trends and optimizing product assortments to meet customer demands.

Key Responsibilities:

Category Strategy Development:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies that align with the overall business goals and drive growth.
  • Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitive dynamics to inform strategic decisions.

Product Management:
  • Curate an attractive and competitive product assortment that maximizes sales while minimizing costs.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews of product lines and implement necessary changes to enhance profitability.

Vendor Relations:
  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and contracts.
  • Evaluate vendor performance based on key performance indicators, including delivery, quality, and service levels.

Inventory and Supply Chain Management:
  • Collaborate with supply chain teams to manage inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock availability and minimizing disruptions.
  • Utilize forecasting tools and data to predict customer demand and drive inventory decisions.

Promotion and Marketing:
  • Work with marketing teams to create and execute marketing plans and promotions that enhance brand visibility and drive sales.
  • Monitor and assess the impact of promotional activities and adjust strategies based on performance data.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in category management or a similar position, ideally within a retail or e-commerce environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with a proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with category management software.
